(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – The Anglican Church Men Council of the Diocese of the Bahamas & the Turks and Caicos Islands met in Eleuthera during the week of Wednesday, April 13th – Sunday, April 17th, 2016 for its 43rd annual ACM Conference, hosted by the St. Patrick’s Parish in Governor’s Harbour. On Sunday morning, April 17th, the sizeable group of Anglican Church Men marched in full parade from Cupid’s Cay to St. Patrick’s Anglican Church. Despite rainfall during the march, the group carried on stoically, ringing out in unified song, led by the talented local youth Freedom Marching Band. Bishop Laish Boyd, who was in Eleuthera for the special occasion, took the time to personally thank the young band members at the end of the parade to the church for their melodious escort – complimenting their sound, saying the only bands that sounded better were the professional Police and Defence Force bands – and encouraged them to continue reaching for excellence through practice and dedication. Speakers during the week’s conference included: One Eleuthera CEO, Shaun Ingraham; NHI Secretariat, Dr. Delon Brennen; Rector at St. Barnabas, Canon Basil Tynes; and Police Superintendent/OIC for Eleuthera, Crhistopher Wright.
