On Friday morning, November 27th, 2015 , immigration and police in Eleuthera intercepted a sloop with suspected Haitian illegal immigrants just off Bannernam Town in South Eleuthera. Photos show dozens of migrants crowding the vessel, as they attempted to land illegally on the island. Unofficial reports have as many as 89 males and 26 females on the boat with most of the females found in the hole of the vessel.
