(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Water and Sewerage Corporation’s (WSC) Manager for the Eleuthera District, Mr. Anthony Bostwick, reported on Sunday evening, June 21st, 2015 that there was a major issue at the Central Eleuthera Reverse Osmosis Plant site, concerning the deep well pump motor.
He informed, “It lost a phase, which has interrupted operation tremendously. We are unable to operate until this motor is replaced or repaired.” He notified that key personnel have been mobilized, saying, “All hands will be on deck for repairs/installation.
As a result of this incident on Sunday, Mr. Bostwick said that cutbacks would go into effect beginning immediately, adding, “There will be reduced pressures from Gregory Town to Windermere Island.” An update on the status at the Plant he said would be given on Monday morning, June 22, 2015.
