NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Cable Bahamas Ltd advises that its cable TV subscribers on the Family Islands are currently experiencing an outage of service for ZNS (cable ch 11/211).

This outage is due to an issue that the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) is currently experiencing with its “uplink” facility at the New Providence headquarters. Engineers at BCB are currently working to remedy the situation. Cable Bahamas subscribers on New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco and Eleuthera are not affected by this outage, as they receive their ZNS signal via the cable operator’s submarine fibre optic network, which remains fully operational.

Engineers at Cable Bahamas assure its subscribers that the ZNS signal will be restored to all cable TV subscribers as soon as the uplink signal from the BCB has been reinstated.
