BURRILLVILLE, RHODE ISLAND (USA) – Rhode Island-based filmmaker Kenneth Proudfoot and Director of Photography Jim Karpeichik will be in Nassau & Hatchet Bay (Eleuthera) the week of March 23rd to film exteriors and interviews for part of a one-hour documentary on former Bahamas resident and entrepreneur, Austin T. Levy (1880-1951). The film, “The Amazing Life & Times of Austin T. Levy,” has been in production over the past six months, capturing key scenes and the seasonal changes at several locations in Levy’s home state of Rhode Island.

Filming of interviews and exteriors will be shot on March 24 & 25 in Nassau. The filmmakers will fly to Eleuthera via Governor’s Harbor to film on March 26 & 27.
The filmmakers are seeking to interview anyone who worked for the Levy’s and the Harrisville Company in Hatchet Bay or in Nassau. They would also like to hear stories or anecdotes from anyone with personal memories of Austin T. Levy or June Rockwell Levy. Those with photographs, 8mm films, newspapers, programs, or other materials about the Levy’s from the time period of 1925-1960 are also encouraged to contact the film’s director.
