His Excellency, Oswald Ingraham received his Letter of Appointment as Deputy to the Governor General during a short ceremony at Government House today.   Mr. Ingraham is a well-known businessman, former parliamentarian and Speaker of the House, from South Eleuthera. 

Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor-General, will be out of the country from Friday, October 10 to Friday, October 17, 2014.  Her Excellency will attend an Investiture at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, October 14, at which time she will receive her award of Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.  She will also pay a courtesy call on Her Majesty the Queen on October 14, 2014.

During Her Excellency’s absence, His Excellency, Oswald Ingraham will act as Deputy to the Governor General.
