(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – The One Eleuthera Foundation has officially moved its offices from the SEEP (South Eleuthera Emergency Partners) facility in Tarpum Bay to the beautifully restored SEM (South Eleuthera Mission) building in Rock Sound on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014.
The SEM Building, which was initially a Methodist manse built around 1830, and later became the old ‘Clinic’ there, was painstakingly rebuilt to serve as a library, internet café, reading room and museum for South Eleutherans to enjoy and use. It was restored to its original nineteenth century architecture with a spacious verandah and balcony overlooking the Sound, sumptuous wood paneled rooms with period furniture; and was fitted to serve as a rallying point for facilitating modern day learning, vocational skills training, and as a cultural attraction for Eleutherans and visitors.
The public is advised that the new One Eleuthera Foundation offices at the SEM building in Rock Sound are now open for service.
In the photo above, employees with the One Eleuthera Foundation are shown with current Chairman of the SEM, Mr. Errol Mcphee.
