At about 3:34pm on Tuesday 29th April, 2014, a 37yr old female of Deep Creek came to the Rock Sound Police Station and reported that she received information by telephone that an elderly male, namely John Wright of Deep Creek was not seen since the night of 28/04/2014 and may have died at his residence.
Officers from the Rock Sound Police Station responded to the scene along with Dr. Sidney Smith. Upon arrival at the scene Officers observed the unresponsive body of a dark skin male clad in a white T-Shirt and blue jeans pants lying on his back, on a bed situated in the northern side of the residence.
Upon his examination, Dr. Sidney Smith, the attending medical officer discovered the patient lying on his back with a possible puncture wound to the flank area –(lower back), and blood was seen in the area of his right ear, right shoulder area and lower back area. Dr. Smith estimated that the patient may have been in that position from sometime during the night.
Dr. smith indicated that he could not determine the cause or nature of death.
He recommended that a post mortem examination be performed on the decease.
The body of the victim was later transported to New providence.
