(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Many customers of Cable Bahamas in Harbour Island and Spanish Wells were without service on Friday – throughout the day, with service coming back online early in the evening. The company confirmed with The Eleutheran that their fibre optics team had completed work to restore a faulty node, identified at “Node 621” however into Friday night roughly 45 customers, representing a portion of the node area, were showing ‘cable modem services off’. Engineers are optimistic that services should be back up shortly.
Cable Bahamas has also stated that they will continue to closely monitor until remaining services are back online.
