The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation in conjunction with the Nassau, Bahamas Pan-Hellenic Council presented its 17th Annual Awards Ceremony for The Bahamas Primary Student of the Year competition winners on May 18th, 2013. This year, Allie Pinder, student of Spanish Wells All Age School was awarded for placing First Runner-Up in the competition. Private and public schools from all over The Bahamas entered and there were a total of 123 competitors this year. Prizes included trophies, medals, a reception at Government House with the Governor General, a laptop computer, $3,000 scholarship, and a floating plaque for her school. Spanish Wells All Age congratulates Allie on achieving such a prestigious award and recognition of her hard work and diligent nature. The school, her family, classmates, and indeed the community are proud of Allie.
The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year winner was Lauryn Rolle of St. Thomas More Primary in New Providence – $5000.00.
