Governor’s Harbour Police on Friday night, 14th December 2012,  acting on information discovered a dark male crouching behind a small structure situated at the rear of a residence  at the top of the hill at Haynes Lane Governors Harbour. Before he could be apprehended however, the suspect fled. He was pursued by police on foot but was able to elude them.

Sometime later police found and arrested a James Cistern resident, while he was sitting on a wall by St. Patrick’s Anglican Church along with a juvenile male. He was arrested for attempted burglary and trespassing.

Police had a further surprise when they searched the juvenile and found a hand gun with three live rounds of ammunition in the cyclinder.  The juvenile was arrested and both suspects along with the hand gun were escorted to the Governors Harbour Police Station.

Both men were later interviewed and charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition and the adult was later further charged with burglary.

We’ve learned that the adult from James Cistern, is likely out on bail currently for another crime.
