(Eleuthera Bahamas) – Central Eleuthera High School along with the other public schools on the island welcomed their full compliment of students back to school this week with a renewed energy. The uniform cladded youngsters from grades 7 through 12 stood in the beaming sun as acting Principal Marie Galanis, led their first assembly of the term.   Mrs. Galanis, the School’s deputy principal is currently filling the void created by a shift on the island that has left the school in Palmetto Point without a Principal. Officials on the island say simply, the position has not been filled.

Former Principal, Mr. Michael Culmer, has started the new school year at North Eleuthera High School, taking over from Mr. Frank Jones who has been transferred to the Preston H. Albury High School in Rock Sound, replacing the now  retired Principal Deborah Deal.

There were no changes at the helm for the secondary institutions in Harbour Island and Spanish Wells.
