8:00 – crowd gives Chris Brown a loud welcome on stage to join his relay team; National anthem sung and opening prayer said, the night’s celebration is underway.
7:30pm – A crowd has gathered in Wemyss Bight to celebrate hometown gold medalist, Chris Brown and the winning team. It has been a day of tremendous excitement on the island for the team that stormed to victory in London at the XXX olympics.
11:20 am – The 4x400m men’s olympic gold winning relay team arrived in Eleuthera about 1.5 hours later than the expected 6:40am arrival and made their way over to Harbour Island for a motorcade around the island.
Three hours later they made it back to the mainland of North Eleuthera and the motorcade headed from Three Island Dock to Governor’s Harbour.
Arrival in Governor’s Habour is now expected to be about 12:30am.

The Ministry of tourism is inviting ALL RESIDENTS OF ELEUTHERA to help welcome and take part in the national celebration of the 4×400 Olympic Gold Medal Team. One member of the team is Eleuthera’s own Chris Brown. COME from South and Central, to North Eleuthera for the island wide motorcade which will make stops in Governor’s Harbour, Rock Sound and Wemyss Bight for Photo and Autograph opportunities.
It takes place on Wednesday 22nd August, 2012.

- 6:45 – 9:15 am – Depart Airport for Harbour Island / Breakfast Reception / Motorcade on Harbour Island / Return to Three Island Dock
- 9:30 am – Motorcade departs Three Island Dock
- 11:00 am – Motorcade arrives at Governor’s Harbour Park – Administrative Grounds / Photos-Autographs etc.
