Jr. Director of Tourism (Eleu): Samuel Guy Pinder Wins 2026 Eleuthera Title

The Junior Minister of Tourism Speech preliminary contest for the island of Eleuthera was held on Thursday, March 19th, 2026 at the Ministry of Tourism’s offices in Governor’s Harbour.

Eight bright 11th grade students participated, from five of the high schools within the district, including; Max Bien Aime – Central Eleuthera High School; Ranaria Brown – Central Eleuthera High School; Jahimari Smith – Preston H. Albury High School; Tayah Minnis – North Eleuthera High School; Azariah Moss – North Eleuthera High School; Jayden Gomez – Samuel Guy All-Age School; Emma Moss – Harbour Island All-Age School; and Shekinah Roberts – Harbour Island All-Age School.

Winner, Jayden Gomez, with Mr. Prescott Young, Director for Eleuthera, Harbour Island, and Abaco Tourist Offices.

Jayden Gomez of Samuel Guy Pinder All-Age School emerged the title winner, as the new Junior Director of Tourism, representing Eleuthera. Azariah Moss of North Eleuthera High School placed second, and Emma Moss of Harbour Island All Age School won third place.

As Junior Director, Ms. Gomez will now compete in New Providence against other Junior Directors from islands across The Bahamas during April 2026 for the national title of Junior Minister of Tourism 2026-2027.
