Nassau, Bahamas – 8th July, 2016 – The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) wishes to advise the public that due to the malfunctioning of the air-conditioning units, Ministry officials have decided to close the office on Friday, July 8, 2016. Active measures are being taken to address the situation. The parts have been purchased and are expected to be shipped into the country next week. Once the parts have arrived, the air conditioning technicians will work expeditiously to restore the units. Given the increased heat index outside, it is undoubtedly having an impact on the temperature within the building. The well-being of our staff and the public is our first priority. The Ministry of Education thanks its staff and the public for their understanding and patience during this ordeal and employees are expected to report to work on Tuesday, 12th July, 2016. The MoEST will update the public accordingly and extends a Happy Independence to all and we wish you a safe and happy holiday weekend.
