(Nassau, Bahamas) – Patrick P. Wright., Commissioner of Corrections (Acting) issued a brief statement on Friday, announcing the death of an inmate at Her Majesty’s Prison, Fox Hill Rd, Nassau. In his statement Mr. Wright stated that at about 6:50 a.m. today, Friday 10th October, 2014, sentenced inmate Forrester Bowe was found in his cell unresponsive to roll call. The Department’s Medical Officer was called, and after an examination inmate Bowe was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. No more details about the deceased inmate were released.
The matter has been turned over to the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Coroner for investigation.
