(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Police in Eleuthera responded to a call at approximately 9:55pm on Tuesday night, June 17th, 2014, when a 37 year old Haitian national was reported to have been struck in the head with a piece of wood, during an altercation which took place in north Palmetto Point. 

 

The victim, a Mr. Mandire Cherlus, who was suffering from head lacerations, was seen by Dr. Mensah, and flown into New Providence on Wednesday morning, June 18, 2014.

 

A 46 year old suspect, also a Haitian national, is currently in police custody, pending charges of ‘causing grievous harm’. According to authorities, those pending charges can change depending on the evolving condition of the victim.
