Update: 11/12/13: “PLANE CRASH VICTIMS IDENTIFIED – GRAND BAHAMA”
Police in Grand Bahama have identified the four persons who perished in the plane crash that occurred in Grand Bahama on the 10th November 2013. They have been identified as American Citizens Glen Steiner and Leslie Steiner both of Arizona, Cindy Miewzea and Anthony l. Wishart both of Indiana U.S.A.
An investigation into this matter is continuing.
11/10/13: Original: Police are investigating a plane crash that has left four people dead.
The incident reportedly occurred shortly after 11:00am on Sunday 10th November 2013. Police received information that single engine Cirrus 22 plane #432BC, left Grand Bahama International Airport on a site seeing flight plan with four passengers on board, however shortly after leaving the airport the plane reportedly crashed some four and a half miles off Grand Bahama.
Officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force inclusive of the Police Marine Section and Basra responded quickly to the area of the crash site.
The four passengers on board perished and the aircraft was completely destroyed.
Investigations into this matter will be conducted by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Civil Aviation Department and other associated agencies.
