(Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera) – Two new businesses have begun operations in Hatchet Bay just north of Lutra Pure on the main Queen’s Highway, where the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) leases property for agricultural and commercial use. The first of the two is “Eagle One Processing Plant” which exported its first boxes of prepared Stone Crabs on Saturday, October 19th, 2013 destined for sale in the United States of America. The box reads: “BAHAMA BITERS; PREMIUM STONE CRAB CLAWS; FLOWN FRESH DAILY; WILD CAUGHT; PRODUCT OF THE BAHAMAS” and are being distributed by BAHAMA BITERS LLC in Florida.(READ more about this in The Eleutheran, which will be out on Saturday October 26th 2013).
The second business to welcome customers is Miracle Wash House & Dry Cleaning (picture below) which also offers a Deli and Snacks Store and Game Room for kids. (Tel 551-1207 or 423-3723 )
