An adult Jamaican male is in custody assisting police with an investigation regarding the recovery of a number of stolen vehicles in Exuma. The suspect was taken into custody during the early morning of Thursday 17th October 2013 in New Providence. Police are in the very early stages of this investigation and will release additional information as the investigation develops.
POLICE ISSUE ADVISORY
Police is issuing an advisory to warn members of the public about trying to “get deals” from persons
purporting to be legitimate businesspersons.
- Members of the public must be careful answering newspaper ads and buying vehicles and other goods in this fashion.
- Members of the public should check the veracity of these sources because you might just be buying stolen goods.
- Members of the public are advised if anyone approaches you with these deals, you are to call the police and remain anonymous.
Remember! Anything that sounds too good to be true is probably not true.
