The Eleuthera Junior Baseball League of Rock Sound continued with game four of its 2013 Championship Series in the Junior Divisions on Saturday past in Rock Sound with the Rock Sound NuView Stingrays taking on the Spanish Wells Contenders.
JUNIOR DIVISION –The Rock Sound NuView Stingrays defeated the Spanish Wells Harbourside Contenders 7 to 5 to tie the series at 2-2. The Rock Sound NuView Stingrays tagged the Spanish Wells Harbourside Contenders with five big runs in the bottom of the first inning off starting pitcher Kirby Albury and never gave up the lead. The Stingrays pitcher Torreno Thurston struck out 9 Contender batters and young Christopher Lloyd went 3 for 4 with 3 runs batted in (RBI’s). The Contenders relief pitcher Chandler Albury struck out 8 Stingray batters and their shortstop Bailey Pinder went 1 for 3 with a three RBI double in the fifth inning.

Both the Spanish Wells Harbourside Contenders and the Rock Sound NuView Stingrays will be attending the BBF Nationals in Freeport this year.
