Jan 24th: There was no official word from Satellite Bahamas on Thursday January 24th, however indications are that the DIRECTV service interuption being experienced by the Nassau based company and consequently its paying customers nationally, is not about to come to a rapid conclusion.
Jan 23rd: Customers of Satellite Bahamas were on Wednesday struck with a Not Subscribed.(721) message across all channels on their Directv service. When contacted shortly after the outage began, a customer service agent of the company said that it was a problem on their end and that they were working on it.
Sources informed our desk that it was more likely a dispute between Directv and Satellite Bahamas but the company did not confirm that. They described it as a technical issue being worked on and could not give any timeline for when it would be up again.
Satellite Bahamas offers the satellite service which fills a void particularly in areas such as communities in Eleuthera, some very close to Governor’s Harbour, that are not serviced by Cable Bahamas.
