A thief has (Thieves have) made off with approximately 1400ft of the Bahamas Telecommunication Company’s (BTC’s) copper wire valued at about $18,000 in Central Eleuthera. According to reports, the missing wire was discovered on December 13th,2012, between a 10 pole stretch in the Hatchet Bay ‘Dairy’ area. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between December 7th and 12th, 2012.
Police say the matter is under active investigation.
