According to reports around 1:20 pm on Friday 14th September, 2012 police were conducting an operation at a home in Scrub Hill when the man reportedly broke into the
home. It is reported that the suspect on seeing the officers, produced a shotgun and was subsequently shot and his weapon confiscated by police.
He was taken to the local clinic and later airlifted to New Providence, where his condition is presently unknown.
A team of officers from the Central Detective Unit will travel to Long Island to assist their colleagues, with the investigation.
