The Eleutheran was alerted to the presence of a whale on Lower Bogue Beach on Monday August 27th and was able to visit the scene on the morning of August 28th to find the deceased swollen body of an otherwise, intact whale on the beach where environmental health and local government officers stood planning their next step. Its the second such whale to come ashore in Eleuthera this month, with the first being found alive on Surfer’s Beach on Saturday August 18th. The Whale on Lower Bogue Beach at about 10ft long was almost twice the size of the one found earliery in Gregory Town.
