Police are investigating an alleged suicide of a 54-year old male that occurred on Tuesday 21st August, 2012. Initial police reports indicate, that shortly after 6:00pm, police went to a residence located at Canoe Way, Lyford Cay, where they met the body of an unresponsive white male with a rope around his neck.

POLICE MAKE DRUG ARREST AT LPIA
A 29 year old Jamaican male of Pinewood Gardens, is in police custody after being found in possession of two and a half kilos (21/2) of suspected cocaine. Officers of the Airport Police Station arrested the man around 12:30pm on Tuesday 21st August, 2012 at Bahamas Customs arrival section of the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
The estimated drugs weight of the drugs is just over four and a half (41/2) pounds and have an estimated street value of sixty-four thousand ($64,000.00) dollars. Active police investigations continue.

POLICE CONFISCATE FIREARMS
Police confiscated two (2) handguns along with a quantity of ammunition from bushes off Mason Street West on Tuesday 21st August, 2012. According to police reports around 1:30 pm officers acting on information went to Mason Street West where they uncovered the items. No arrests were made. Active police investigations continue.

POLICE REQUESTS PUBLIC’S HELP IN LOCATING THREE (3) MEN MISSING AT SEA
According to police reports, around 4:00am on Monday 20th August 2012, three (3) men left the Montague Ramp on a fishing trip onboard a white open hull 200-horse powered boat. The men were due to return between 5:00pm and 6:00pm on the same date, however, the men have not been heard from or seen since. Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding the whereabouts of these three (3) men to contact police @ 919 or 328-TIPS.
