Owing to the expected passing of Tropical Storm Kate near to or over Eleuthera on Monday November 9th, officials on the island have shared important announcements.
1. All schools on the island will be closed as of 12 noon today (Monday, November 9th, 2015). For students traveling north of the Glass Window Bridge, school will be dismissed earlier, at 11:30 am, because of the closure of the bridge at 12 noon.
2. All government agencies will also be closed at 12 noon today, and are scheduled to reopen at 9am on Tuesday morning, November 10th, 2015.
