WSC Update (April 10th, 3:05pm) : The Deep Well Pump at the RO plant in GHB has been successfully tested and installed. The RO Plant is up and running successfully. Production has begun and distribution will begin once acceptable storage levels are achieved.

Original Story (April 10th, 10:06am): Water and Sewerage Corporation Area Manager for the Eleuthera District, Mr. Anthony Bostwick, on Friday morning, April 10th, 2015, announced that procedures had commenced on Thursday to replace a well pump at the Reverse Osmosis Plant located in Governor’s Harbour.

Pumping at the Plant, said Bostwick, was suspended on Friday morning to complete the replacement, and as a result, customers in Central Eleuthera, from Gregory Town to Windermere Island could experience low to no pressure for several hours.

Mr. Bostwick reported that this was a preventative measure against the reoccurrence of events seen during the past few weeks, where much of Central Eleuthera experienced water supply stoppages for extended periods of time, as a result of damaged equipment.
