The 27th Annual National Jr. Junkanoo Parade competition took place on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 in New Providence. For the second consecutive year the colourful splendour of Jr. Junkanoo, took place in the national Thomas A. Robinson Stadium with a less than capacity but decent sized crowd in attendance. Of the 23 schools participating in Pre-school, Primary School, Jr. and Senior High School divisions, two were from Eleuthera, namely; Tarpum Bay Primary and Harbour Island All Age school. Unfortunately for Harbour Island they were at the end of a long list and although the event started at 2:00pm, it wasn’t until after midnight that the Brilanders were able to display their ‘rush’. By then, the stadium had just about emptied and most camera’s were off but The Eleutheran was there and you’ll see those photos in the Gallery below.
