(Upper Bogue, Eleuthera, Bahamas) –  According to sources, police in Eleuthera on Tuesday July 29th, 2014, arrested an employee of Local Government in North Eleuthera in connection with arson attempts at the relocated Local Government office building in Upper Bogue.  Sources also indicated that security cameras may have led police to the suspect.

 

Police have confirmed that the suspect, Rudica Albury, has been charged with Shop Breaking and Arson.  The arrest stems from an incident on Monday 28th July 2014, when at about 9:30am Police received information that the Administrator’s Office in Upper Bogue had once again been broken into and someone had also set a portion of the building on fire.  Several staff members were seen situated on the outside of the building on arrival by the Police.

 

Police then inspected the building and reportedly found no visible signs of forced entry. They indicate that, “as a result of investigations into the matter”, the suspect was arrested and charged with the offences.
