The Youth Department of the Wesley Methodist Church on historic Cupid’s Cay in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera, celebrated Youth Sunday on October 6th, 2013, in recognition of October being Youth Month.
It was an opportunity for each child to participate in conducting the service through activities such as leading worship, prayer and scripture readings.
Music filled the church after a skit and theme song written by Youth Leader, Ms. Brendalee Petty, called, ‘Stay in School Children’. Ms. Petty, commented, “It is my dream to see more of our young people excel in academics, music, dance… and to dream big and believe in themselves.”
Each child in the Youth Department was given a certificate for dedicated service.
