Superintendent Ismella Davis accompanied by Sgt. Rolle, Administrator Charles King, Reverend Phillip Bethel, and Immigration Head Brown inspected the uniformed officers during the 40th Anniversary celebrations on July 9th in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera.
On the grounds of the Administration Building in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera on the evening of July 9th leading straight into the post midnight hours of July 10th, Central Eleuthera celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Independence of The Bahamas with ceremony, song and reflection. Uniformed groups performed in a March Pass which was inspected by a team led by Superintendent of Police on the island, Ismella Davis and also included a living signatory to the declaration of independence, Hon. Phillip Bethel, Administrator of Central Eleuthera Charles King and Head of Immigration Brown (Eleuthera District).
Choirs echoed songs of praise in honour of the Independence of the Nation, achieved in 1973 from the clutches of a British Colonial empire.
Uniformed divisions, including the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Immigration, Road Traffic, Customs and the Boys Brigade participated in a formal March in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Independence.
A combined Eleuthera Youth Choir raised their voices in beautiful unison during the celebration on July 9th, 2013.
The Global Outreach Ministries Chorale sang with all their heart and soul during the 40th Anniversary ecumenical service.
