The women like Harbour Island for its pink sand beaches and great restaurants. Bahamas Billfish Championship anglers, on the other hand, like Harbour Island for the excellent  fishing. And information just received from the Island indicates that this May should be no exception. Capt. Rich Helmuth on the Wani Kanati reports that billfish action has been good at James Point, Shallow Ground and Dutch Bar.

The Harbour Island resorts are ready for the influx of BBC boats and guests. Valentine’s Marina topped-off their tanks to be certain the BBC teams have no shortage of fuel. The anglers meeting and opening dinner will once again be overlooking the beach at Coral Sands. Valentine’s will be co-sponsoring a cocktail reception on Tuesday evening. And Romora Bay’s Sunset Restaurant will be the site of the awards ceremony and dinner.

Pandemonium and Blue Eagle will not be fishing the second leg at Harbour Island. So the chase for the Championship title is wide open.
