The outcome of this vehicle accident, is not as bad as it looks, except for the truck involved. Earlier this month, over the Easter holiday, Rock Sound hosted its annual homecoming. Police, during the early morning hours, at about 3:10am were dispatched to investigate a report of a vehicular fire in the area of the homecoming site, in Rock Sound. The vehicle was just south of the site,  in the direction leading to Green Castle. Officers investigating the report, saw and spoke with the driver who reported colliding with a pedestrian and on checking the injured person saw flames coming from the bottom of the truck registered to his step-father. At about 4:00am ASP. L. Armbrister and others from the fire department arrived extinguishing the blaze which completely destroyed the vehicle.  The pedestrian,  a 43 yr old male, complained of pain to his right leg . He was assisted to the Rock Sound Clinic to seek medical attention.
