NASSAU, The Bahamas (Bahamas Information Services) –  The College of The Bahamas (COB) Sports and Wellness Department held a press conference on Wednesday, April 3 on the campus of the college to announce the staging of its 3rd track and field classic to be held Saturday, April 6, at the old Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.

Dr. Eslyn Jones, vice president, student affairs congratulated the Sports and Wellness team led by Mrs. Kim Rolle, director of Sports and Wellness and particularly Mr. Bradley Cooper, asst. director, Wellness Centre, team coach and the person who had the vision to introduce the COB track and field classic.

Dr Jones said “we are fortunate to be a part of the region with the fastest men and women in the world. This is and awesome place to be and I hope we as a nation can grasp this opportunity and be intentional about our approach to sports.”

Mr. Bradley Cooper said Warner College and Bethune Cookman College have confirmed that they will compete in the classic which is open to anyone.
