Central Eleuthera’s Andre Colebrooke, now in school in the USA, powered to the silver medal in the mens U20 800m Carifta Championship at the Thomas A. Robinson stadium in New Providence on Monday afternoon.
Andre in 2012, still a student of Central Eleuthera High School, finished third in the same race in Bermuda, then in a time of 1.56.66 seconds.
On Monday he motored across the line in 1.51.43 seconds a mere .09s behind Trinidad’s Mark London in first. London also won the same race in 2012, that time over 1 second faster than Colebrooke.
