Eleuthera never ceases to provide opportunities for residents and visitors to thoroughly enjoy its environment.  When considered in its entirety, this island is an impressively unique destination in the Bahamian archipelago and the wider Caribbean.

The pictures are of what appears to be a humpback whale breaching, just beyond the first reef off Windermere Island, in Central Eleuthera during the third week in March.

We’ve also learned that a mother and calf, humpback whales, were sighted off Abaco a few weeks ago as well.

The photos were taken by a visitor to Eleuthera.
