Eleutherans and visitors heading to Eleuthera for the Easter Holiday weekend have started arriving on the island, with a stream disembarking Thursday morning March 28th, off Bahamas Ferries’ Sea Wind vessel at the dock on Cupid’s Cay.
The island will see hundreds returning home for the holiday weekend with three homecomings being celebrated in Rock Sound in South Eleuthera, James’ Cistern in Central Eleuthera, as well as Lower Bogue in North Eleuthera.
Additionally families reunite and participate in special religious services, private parties and beach picnics on the many beaches lining the island.
The weather man says that FOR THE NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS WINDS will blow NORTH TO NORTHEAST AT 10-15 KNOTS THIS AFTERNOON, INCREASING TO 15 KNOTS AT NIGHT. SEAS will RUN 2-4 FEET NEAR SHORE BUT UP TO 6 FEET OVER THE ATLANTIC EXPOSED WATERS IN LIGHT NORTHERLY SWELLS
