Coral Harbour Base, Nassau, Bahamas (Press Release) – Early Sunday Morning the RBDF Harbour Patrol Unit received reports of a stolen thirty two foot (32ft) cabin cruiser. A patrol vessel was dispatched to investigate and substantiate the reports. Further investigation directed the RBDF Marines into the Montague area where they identified the alleged stolen vessel attached to a wrecker being hauled out of the water. The wrecker driver took flight attempting to escape. A chase ensued resulting in the recovery of the vessel and apprehension of the driver of the wrecker by RBDF Marines in the Village road area. Subsequently, the stolen vessel and wrecker driver were turned over to the Police for further processing.
The RBDF says that the force remains committed to “Guarding our Heritage.”
