Update 10:20pm March 24th, 2013: Information released by the Royal Bahamas Police Force on Sunday evening, indicates that the victim of a violent incident on Cupid’s Cay shortly before 1:00am on Sunday March 24th, is currently in stable condition in hospital in New Providence. Initial information from the early morning attack said that Mr. Timothy Sweeting had been beaten and had also suffered a stab wound, but updates now indicate that his injuries were caused by the beating that he endured about the head and body. Mr. Sweeting (38) is from Betsy Village, Governor’s Harbour Eleuthera, and two men, 38 and 33 years old are in custody in relation to this incident. One of the men arrested is from Blackwood, North Eleuthera and the other from Savannah Sound.

2:26pm Sunday March 24th, 2013: (Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Two Eleuthera residents are in police custody today in relation to an incident that left a Governor’s Harbour man in serious condition. The man, identified as Timothy Sweeting, had to be airlifted to Nassau at about 5:00am on Sunday Morning, March 24th, 2013 to seek further treatment for his injuries. While at the clinic in Governor’s Harbour he was able to report that he had been beaten about the head and body by a man he identified from Blackwood North Eleuthera, and another from Savannah Sound. He also suffered from a stab wound to the body and was found in the area of Cupid’s Cay at about 12:55am.
