(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – 44 year old Edward Claudius Bethel of Hatchet Bay had to be flown out of the North Eleuthera airport to the capital for medical treatment on Friday night, following a car crash that left him in serious condition, according to eye witnesses. Several patrons were at the bar at a main intersection in Lower Bogue when the green 1995 Buick Le Sabre came crashing into the wall outside the establishment. It is not known, why at the T-junction the driver failed to go either right or left, and instead barreled straight ahead, crushing the front of his vehicle and decimating the cement block wall and picnic bench stopping short of the main building.
The car crashed into the wall early evening on Friday, March 22, 2013.
Workers were busy on Saturday rebuilding the structure.
