(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – accidentAn apparent head-on collision of a car into a utility pole in Lower Bogue, North Eleuthera caused a sudden island wide disruption of Electricity. The time of the outage was pegged at 11:41pm by BPL Island Manager, Robert Hall, who also communicated the following at about 12:35 am:

Harbour Island was unaffected by the outage.

Customers in North Eleuthera remained without supply at that time and emergency teams were dispatched to assess the damage.  According to authorities on the scene in Lower Bogue, the air bags deployed in the vehicle upon impact and the driver appeared to be okay, but was taken to the Lower Bogue clinic as a precaution.
