(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – Co-Pastor at Trinity “City of Praise” Outreach Ministries in Lower Bogue and a trained educator by profession, Mrs. Sharnette Kemp, recently released her new book, titled, “Help Lord, I’m Bleeding: My Encounter With Grace”, at a special launch event, held at the church on Friday, September 30th, 2016.

The new paperback volume was dedicated to, “All ‘Sistas’ who have ever been hurt, wounded, and dying but always longed to be free.” In the book’s foreword, Senior Pastor of Trinity ‘City of Praise’ in Nassau, Ed Watson, revealed, “This book is Sharnette’s personal story which is taken from the life of ‘The Woman with the Issue of Blood’. This is a story of God’s grace, healing, and deliverance from emotional wounds of over twenty years of pain and shame. Sharnette freely pours out her heart on the pages, bravely baring her soul in the belief that her words will help others with a similar story.”

Mrs. Kemp, in her acknowledgements shared, “This journey has seemed so long. It was heavy and at times the weight and burden became hard to carry. However, the Lord would not let me give up. He continued to work it out in me and placed people in my life to ensure that this project was manifested.”

The inspiration behind getting this project done, expressed Mrs. Kemp, was being tired of doubting who she was, her worth and her value because of her early life trauma, so she embarked on a personal journey to find out her worth and decided to do the work of making an intentional effort to shift her mindset and behaviour and to fully step into her walk with God and her destiny, by applying the Word of God to her thinking, her behaviour and her heart to bring about the necessary healing and to step into who she was called to be.

Her use of the story of the ‘Woman with the Issue of Blood’ as an analogy throughout her book was symbolic of being wounded and she explored what it took to do the work to heal her wounds. Mrs. Kemp commented that although her book was not a manual, she wanted everyone to know the importance of emotional healing, to walk in the fullness of who they are.

Her new release can be found locally at Office General in Governor’s Harbour, at the Trinity City of Praise church in Lower Bogue, or by contacting Mrs. Kemp directly at 551-3803. It will also be available online at Amazon.com on November 20th, 2016, as well as at TatePublishing.com.
