(Eleuthera, Bahamas) Eleuthera overnight was spared the severe hurricane winds of the  strengthening category four hurricane Matthew as it continued on its northwest track through The Bahamas, with its most intense winds staying closer to the islands of Andros and New Providence. Below are some early pictures coming in from South Eleuthera. Reports from Rock Sound indicated three downed power lines, and roads about 90% passable.  Flooding did also occur in some low lying areas. The island is still within the tropical storm wind field of Matthew and remains under a hurricane warning.  More once the all clear is given by NEMA.
