Alert: In a very exciting final track event at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil on Saturday evening, August 20th, Eleuthera’s Chris Brown at age 37, anchored the Bahamas to a Bronze medal behind the USA’s Gold and Jamaica’s Silver in the men’s 4x400m race.  The Wemyss Bight native has a well cemented reputation as one of the best 400m sprint and relay runners ever. Brown out-dipped fourth place by 0.03s

The team consisted of  Alonzo Russell, Michael Mathieu, Steven Gardiner and  Christopher Brown.

Chris has a tremendously positive impact on young Bahamians. He is pictured here in 2014, touring schools in Eleuthera and bringing big smiles to the young faces of fellow Eleutherans.
