To all Residents, Churches, Businesses, and people of the Bahamas:

We write today to remind you that Bahamas Methodist Habitat, located in Eleuthera, will be available as a resource should Tropical Storm Erika create any significant damage throughout the Bahamas.

Our main cause as an outreach organization of the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church is Disaster Relief. We were born out of relief efforts following Hurricane Andrew and have continued in the forefront of disaster relief efforts on eight major islands throughout the Bahamas, over the course of the last 20 years. We were also active on the ground in the Turks and Caicos and Haiti, following their latest natural disasters.

Bahamas Methodist Habitat has a close partnership with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and has worked on many occasions with the Bahamas Red Cross. We have access to aviation, supplies, equipment and logistics that can help connect the needs of the community to important resources in the aftermath of disasters. If the need arises, Bahamas Methodist Habitat is ready and willing to assist!
