On Monday evening, May 20th, 2019, Prime Minister Hubert Minnis delivered his third ‘Report to the Nation’, – the final in a three-part series of national reports of this kind for 2019:
In his report, Prime Minister Minnis updated the public on matters related to land reform, the environment, energy reform, general infrastructure and digital transformation and modernization.
The report highlighted major reform efforts underway to digitize and modernize government services and the implementation of a system to clear the land application backlog and restructure the application process for Crown Land.
An overview of the extensive ongoing roadworks program throughout New Providence and The Bahamas, major capital works projects, progress on the New Providence Landfill and environmental conservation initiatives were also highlighted.
