ROTATION OF CABINET MINISTERS

Nassau The Bahamas – The Cabinet Office confirmed that today the Prime Minister advised Her Excellency, the Governor-General, to reallocate the portfolios of Ministers Renward Ricardo Wells, Frankie Alfred Campbell, Michael Clifton Pintard and Lanisha Tamar Rolle.

The Hon. Renward Wells is to be reassigned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources to the Ministry of Transport and Local Government; Mr. Frankie Campbell is to be reassigned from the Ministry of Transport and Local Government to the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development; the Hon Michael Pintard to be reassigned from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture to the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources and the Hon. Lanisha Rolle to be reassigned from the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

The Prime Minister acknowledges and thanks the Ministers for their contributions in their former Ministries and looks forward to the work they will do in their new Ministries.

Ministers will take up their new posts, effective, July 4th, 2018.

TRANSFERS OF PERMANENT SECRETARIES AND ACTING PERMANENT SECRETARY

Nassau, Bahamas – It is announced for general information that the Prime Minister has advised Her Excellency the Governor-General to effect the following transfers of Permanent Secretaries and Acting Permanent Secretary effective 30th July, 2018:

Mrs. Lorraine Symonette-Armbrister, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Local Government to the Ministry of Education.
Mrs. Niole Campbell, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture to the Office of the Prime Minister.
Ms. Sherrylee Smith, Permanent Secretary (Urban Renewal Commission) in the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development to be moved to the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development.
Mr. Jack Thompson, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.
Miss Elise Delancy, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of the Public Service and National Insurance to head the newly formed public Service Modernization Unit.
Mrs. Donella Bodie, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of the Public Service and National Insurance.

The Cabinet Office also announces that Acting Permanent Secretary Mrs. Cora Bain-Colebrooke in the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development will be transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Local Government.
